I have enjoyed every minute and I’m very thankful for this opportunity.”

"The Heavy" boasts an impressive British cast, led by British Independent Film Award Nominee Gary Stretch (Dead Man’s Shoes, Alexander), Vinnie Jones (X-Men:The Last Stand, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), musician Lee Ryan from ‘Blue’ in his first on-screen role, Academy Award Nominee Stephen Rea (The Crying Game, V for Vendetta), Adrian Paul (Highlander Endgame, Alien Tracker), Christopher Lee (Alice in Wonderland, The Lord of The Rings), Shannyn Sossamon (A Knight’s Tale, 40 Days and 40 Nights) and Sadie Frost (Love, Honour and Obey). THE HEAVY

Boots (Stretch), is a henchman for a successful but shady businessman, and is locked into his life of crime. Newly released from prison he attempts to leave his troubled ways behind him – but to do this he must complete just one last assignment – to assassinate his own brother Christian, an MP hotly tipped to be the next Prime Minister. When Boots is given the opportunity to finally exact his revenge on the brother who testified against him and helped land him in jail in the first place – the temptation is too great to resist… As events take a downward spiral, Boots realizes that he can’t take anything for granted, especially not when family is involved.

Marcus Warren makes his directorial debut with THE HEAVY, a stylish portrayal of inner city London. Original music is by legendary music producer and DJ, Paul Oakenfold. Packing a punch, THE HEAVY doesn’t hold back and exposes a world where you can trust no one and loyalty is rare.
