Birds of Steel realistically recreates the look and feel of World War II by including fighter planes, weapons, battleships, and terrain based on documents, maps, and structures from that period. By leaving out the latest in modern weaponry, the player can enjoy more authentic period air combat. The fighters’ controls require realistic manipulation, too, thanks to the physical calculations involved based on each craft’s unique statistics.
