Warhammer: Vermintide 2 released in 4K on XBox One

Xbox One owners get the chance to join the fight in Helmgart. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has surpassed one million in sales on PC, and is now ready to conquer the living room.

“We are excited to bring Vermintide 2 to the Xbox community” says Martin Wahlund, CEO at Fatshark. “We are looking forward to take on Skaven and Chaos with the console gamers.”

There are two versions available, the Standard Edition ($29,99 €29,99 £23,99), and the Premium Edition ($44,99 €44,99 £35,99).

NEW Monster Hunter 3D animated special based on the video game called - Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild

A computer graphics animated special that will expand upon the universe of “Monster Hunter,” Capcom’s blockbuster game series is in progress. Capcom will produce and co-finance the special with Pure Imagination overseeing domestic and international sales. Joshua Fine (“Ultimate Spider-Man” (STARZ)) wrote the special. Production will be completed this Winter and the special is expected to premiere globally in 2019.

The 3D animated special, dubbed “Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild,” tells the story of a brave young man determined to prove himself as a monster hunter worthy of recognition. His chance will come all too soon when he discovers that his remote village lies in the path of an Elder Dragon—a veritable force of nature made flesh.

“We are thrilled to return fans to the universe of “Monster Hunter” and expand the series’ rich lore,” said Monster Hunter Series Producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto. “We think die-hard fans will appreciate our dedication to the source material while those uninitiated to the series will still be treated to an epic adventure in a wholly unique world.”

The Gardens Between adventure puzzle through a surreal world of mysterious gardens - PS4 Switch

The Gardens Between, the adventure puzzle game in which players manipulate time to guide two best friends through a surreal world of mysterious garden islands, will come to the Nintendo Switch system in 2018 simultaneously alongside the previously announced PlayStation 4, Windows and Mac releases.

Reminisce with The Gardens Between for the first time on Nintendo Switch at Gamescom in hall 3.2, booth A70. Following its Gamescom debut, The Gardens Between will be playable at PAX West.

University of Roehampton launches first UK eSports scholarship

The University of Roehampton is launching a scholarship for students with talents in eSports. The scholarship, the first of its kind for a London university, will be worth £1,500 a year and will support a student on any course, at any level, undergraduate or postgraduate within the university.

Ten eSports scholarships will be available for students enrolling in 2019 and applications will be expected from September 2018.

Students applying for the scholarship will need to demonstrate aptitude in the field and in common with other sports scholarships available at the University, successful applicants over the coming years will be required to display their commitment to eSports alongside successful academic progression.
