The Lost and Damned download for Grand Theft Auto IV

the eagerly anticipated first episode of downloadable content, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned, will be coming to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system via Xbox LIVE online entertainment network. Available exclusively on Xbox LIVE worldwide on February 17, 2009, The Lost and Damned will feature all new content and is the first of two episodes announced for Grand Theft Auto IV on Xbox 360.

"Making these episodes has enabled us to expand the narrative and the experience of interacting with a game world in really innovative ways," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We hope fans of the game enjoy the new way of experiencing life in Liberty City contained in this first episode."

Since its launch in April, Grand Theft Auto IV has garnered unprecedented praise and acclaim worldwide. Developed by series creator Rockstar North and set in Liberty City, The Lost and Damned features a new main character and plot that intersects with the storyline of Grand Theft Auto IV; new missions that offer an entirely fresh way to explore Liberty City with new multiplayer modes, weapons and vehicles; and a diverse soundtrack with additional music - all with the incredible production values that are the trademarks of Grand Theft Auto.

Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned requires players to have the full version of Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE membership to download. Further details, including pricing, will be announced soon.

Final Fantasy XI video game Three New Expansions to download

Three new expansion scenarios for FINAL FANTASY XI.

Six years since its initial release, FINAL FANTASY XI currently has 500,000 active users playing in Europe, Japan, and North America.

Square Enix confirmed a series of new scenarios to expand their online game world. Rather than being released as data discs, these expansions will be made available through an online digital distribution service. The expansions will be made available simultaneously worldwide for all FINAL FANTASY XI platforms.

The three new expansions have been created by Masato Kato, one of the minds behind the original FINAL FANTASY XI storyline, spanning from its very beginning through to the Rise of the Zilart expansion.

Served as director and scenario writer on titles including Chrono Trigger, Radical Dreamers, Xenogears and Chrono Cross for Square. Oversaw the initial plot conception and event direction for the original FINAL FANTASY XI and Rise of the Zilart expansion. Since leaving Square in 2002, Mr. Kato has worked on a number of titles and continues to pursue his unique design vision.

Rayman Raving Rabbids - TV Party on Nintendo Wii and DS

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party will launch for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS this holiday season.

Following the tradition of Rayman Raving Rabbids titles showcasing fun and innovative use of the Wii controllers, Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party will feature the Wii Balance Board accessory. The Rabbids plan to invade televisions worldwide, providing players with a variety of games and comedic exploits spoofing TV shows, pop culture and even advertisements.

“The Rayman Raving Rabbids titles have been an immense success, entertaining the world over,” said Yves Guillemot, president and chief executive officer, Ubisoft. “The inclusion of the Wii Balance Board into the game was a huge source of inspiration for our development team and I guarantee you will see the Wii Balance Board used in ways that will be surprisingly unexpected!”

To date, the Rayman titles have sold more than 22 million units worldwide with their unique ability to reach all ages and demographics through their family friendly, innovative game play mechanics.

Guitar Hero World Tour shortage pushes up price...

Retailers are using the limited supply of the game and band kit to charge up to $300 when the list price is $189.

It's supply and demand they say, in the run up to Christmas, the busies time for video games sales.

In previous years Nintendo's Wii console has commanded premium prices as they were in short supply (some retailers think this will be the case again this year).

Wii fit has been in short supply since it launch and sells for more than the list price today - guaranteed to be rare this Christmas.

So if you're looking for any of the above this Christmas get shopping now as prices are sure to rise in the lead up to December 25th.

Big League Sports video game on Nintendo Wii

Big League Sports for the Nintendo Wii has hit retail shelves in North America. Developed by Koolhaus Games exclusively for Wii, the game is all about putting players right into the action in the most thrilling situations in their favorite sports.

There are multiple disciplines to master within tennis, basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse and hockey. But unlike other games the focus is not on the team – it’s on whether or not you can deliver in specific, adrenaline-pumping moments. Whether it’s acing an opponent in tennis, hitting a basketball shot at the buzzer, or bending free kicks around a goalie in soccer, Big League Sports offers a fresh interpretation of what a sports game can be on Wii.

“Big League Sports is perfect for family game night,” said Dave Oxford, Activision Publishing. “The innovative Wii controls offer the kind of accessible head to head competition that gets everyone off the couch, playing and cheering!”

Platform video game Cletus Clay coming to PC and Xbox Live in 2009

Cletus Clay, a manic side-scrolling platform brawler headed your way on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC in 2009. Released under Tuna's new label TunaSnax, the Xbox LIVE Arcade version will be self-published whilst the PC version will be distributed by those mighty fine folk at Pinnacle Software.

Based on an original concept by acclaimed animator Anthony Flack, Cletus ClayTM is a fast paced old-school run'n'gun with eye catching visuals and a seriously irreverent attitude.
