BAFTA announced Dr Jo Twist OBE as Chair of Games Committee

Twist takes up her role during a period of expansion, as BAFTA grows its games membership in the UK and North America, and seeks to promote the craft of game creation, and the cultural importance of games, to a global audience.

Armored Warfare to launch on Xbox in August

Set in a not so distant future, players take control of contemporary tanks and armored fighting vehicles raging war on ruthless organisations and companies on the global battlefield. From frozen cities to sun-scorched islands, players compete with rival teams for domination of these hotspots in the competitive modes. Commanders can join forces with friends to carry out challenging PvE missions and unravel gruesome stories told through season bound narratives. Global Operations combine cooperative and competitive game modes together on large scale maps pitting up to 30 players in intense and explosive tank wars.

Armored Warfare will be completely free-to-play for Xbox Gold Members, but for members who wish to get a head start on the combat experience, My.com prepared several pre-launch editions with great bonuses that are available for a limited time only. Starter packs contain variously perks both cosmetic and of convenience for players including exclusive decals, player titles, premium vehicles and more!

Ultra Space Battle Brawl (USBB) competitive local multiplayer party game

In a retro art style heavily influenced by Indonesian culture in look and sound. A mashup of Street Fighter and Pong on steroids, in USBB you challenge your friends in a frantic battle fighting with a “Pong” ball, which must be hit at an angle to avoid your opponent and destroy the diamond located on the opposite side of the screen - behind said opponent who is moving frantically to block your efforts. It’s easy to pick up and play, but hard to master and could contribute to a fair amount of animosity amongst your friends.

Featuring a strong 80s arcade vybe, USBB has retro graphics and character art, with a “funkot” soundtrack, which is a mix of dangdut (Indonesian folk) and house music.
