Sierra Entertainment, a division of Vivendi Games, announced today that World in Conflict – the groundbreaking action-strategy game that claimed the coveted E3 2007 Game Critics “Best Strategy Game” award and topped many “Best of 2007” lists – will appear on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system this autumn.

World in Conflict, originally created by Sierra’s-own Massive Entertainment, is being redesigned for consoles and will also include a host of new content for both the single-player campaign and the game’s award-winning multiplayer mode. The new content will also be made available for personal computer as an add-on to the original World in Conflict game. More information on the PC release will be provided soon.

The World in Conflict game for Xbox 360 and the PLAYSTATION 3 system is being developed by Massive Entertainment in conjunction with Sierra’s-own Swordfish Studios.

“World in Conflict was one of the best games on any platform in 2007 and its innovative action-focused gameplay makes it a perfect fit for the transition to consoles,” said Martin Tremblay, president of worldwide studios, Sierra Entertainment. “World in Conflict is being reinvented for Xbox 360 and the PLAYSTATION 3 system, with innovative features and new single player and multiplayer content created for the console audience. World in Conflict on consoles will be an amazing extension of an already great gaming franchise.”

World in Conflict is a true genre-bender, effectively carving out an entirely new “Action-Strategy” category which appeals to all kinds of video game players, from action junkies through first-person-shooter enthusiasts to strategy purists.

The unique cross-genre design and universal appeal is what led global media to make World in Conflict the most critically lauded strategy game of 2007. The game collected a clean sweep of “Best Strategy Game” awards from E3 2007, countless “Editor’s Choice” awards from the world’s top reviewers, and was the clear choice for “Best Strategy Game of 2007” during the end-of-year awards season. In addition, the game received several additional “Best of 2007” awards and nominations in categories that included “Best PC Game,” “Best Graphics,” “Best Multiplayer,” “Most Innovative,” and more.

Trickster Online Revolution is Bringing Love to Gamers This Valentine's Day!

A Season Of Love Is Here For Tricksters Everywhere!

Trickster Online Revolution will be implementing special holiday events and quest series this Valentine's Day. The residents of Caballa Island, where Trickster is set, will soon have the opportunity to experience a new storyline designed domestically by the game’s staff. In addition to this, there is a new series of quests for this popular 2D, console-styled, Free-to-play online MMORPG. In this new event, Tricksters will need to assist Officer Tera, as she scours the island for some much needed love advice for her desperate and heart-sick friend. Tricksters who wish to aid Officer Tera in her quest to find the best love advice will be given a series of tasks that includes tracking down the right individuals to give Officer Tera the advice she needs.

Love is Not a Straight Line, and Neither Are The Quests!

Incorporating the themes of love, the talented staff of Ntreev USA Inc. have designed a completely non-linear quest series for this event. The Event will allow Tricksters to complete portions of the quest series in the order that they see fit, with the final rewards and the ultimate conclusion revealed to those that successfully solve the entire mystery. This debut heralds a new design concept for the more traditional and linearly-based quests series, often found in online titles where players are required to follow a strict and non-branching path from beginning to end. Quests within this Event will most definitely have the quest types that have helped make Trickster Online Revolution so popular. To add to this Event's non-linear approach to the Valentine's Day quests, a new storyline has been added to help set the stage, and further deepen the substantial lore of the Trickster Online Revolution universe.

Love is in the Air, and the Details are On the Official Site!

As the new Valentine's Day Event is launched for Trickster Online Revolution, full details regarding this Event, its quest series, as well as a completely new and original back-story will be made available on the game's official website. Look for special Valentine's Day announcements and news within the coming release of the newest patch on February 14, and don't forget to check the “Event Section” of the official website for all of your Trickster Online Revolution Valentine's Day Event needs!

Rapid Deployment Force joins battle with just one click!

In Codename: Panzers – Cold War new troops can be ordered to, and will muster at, re-supply points such as helipads, train stations, harbours or factories. Players must first capture these strategic targets before they can use them. New units cost a varying amount of Prestige Points, which represent the games currency, depending on the unit. Prestige is earned through the destruction of enemy troops, capturing Prestige Flags and by completing missions. This method of supplying fresh troops adds opens a wide range of tactical possibilities and adds a brand-new element to the Codename: Panzers series. Codename: Panzers – Cold War will be released in Europe for PCs at the end of March 2008.

During the Cold War conflict, a period in which the differences of opinion between the Allied occupying forces and the Soviet Union become ever sharper, an airplane accident occurs over Tempelhof Airport during the Berlin Blockade, with grave consequences. The tragic collision of an American airplane carrying relief goods with a Russian fighter plane costs not only the lives of both crews, but also overstretches the already tense relations between the occupying forces. Under the command of the merciless Stalin, the Red Army has undergone a tremendous expansion at the end of the Second World War and has more-or-less been waiting for the right time to extend their territory to the West by attacking the NATO.

First Developer Diary for space strategy title Lost Empire Immortals

The powerful alliance between leading strategy publisher Paradox Interactive and Danish developer Pollux Gamelabs proclaims details of its epic space strategy title, set to challenge for dominance in the vast expanse of 4x genre games.

With the release on Valentines Day of the first developer's diary, gamers can begin to fall in love with the eternally titled, Lost Empire: Immortals. The 4x space strategy title is destined to be in stores worldwide from mid-March.

DEVELOPER DIARY
PART 1, BY POLLUX GAMELABS

Back when we began the original Lost Empire game, we were a young company with limited funds, yet filled with infinite passion.Collectively driven by the same dream, the team labored night and day to create the quintessential 4X space strategy game.

At that moment, our ambition was stifled only by the constraints of time and a limited budget.Since the release of the original Lost Empire game, the company's size has grown a little, but the company's vision has expanded to become even greater. We want to make the best 4X space strategy game ever made!

Though perhaps ambitious for such a modestly sized company such as ours, (there are some damn good games out there), Yoda questions: "Size matters not... Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm?" This is how we will manage...
