2K Sports Announces The BIGS 2 Major League Baseball game

Sports, the sports publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, announced today that The BIGS 2, the sequel to the hit arcade-style Major League Baseball game The BIGS¸ will be available this summer for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation 2 computer entertainment systems, PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, and Ninyendo Wii home video game system.

MMORPG Titan Online Enters Limited Public Beta March 19th

Titan Online's free-to-play, massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), will enter into limited public beta on March 19, 2009. Slated for release this spring, users can get a taste for this martial arts fantasy by logging in at http://titan.eyagames.com.

An epic title based on traditional Asian culture, Titan Online is a fusion MMORPG that boasts a unique combination of martial arts and robots that takes place in a spectacular fantasy world. Titan Online is based upon the Korean best-selling novel, “Mo Siang.” Set in ancient China, players will experience historic Chinese locales, meet influential figures from various dynasties, experience mysterious aspects of various ancient Asian cultures, all while trying to save the martial arts world by engaging in intense real-time battles.

New in this beta, gamers will appreciate even more creation choices, including African American and Caucasian characters. Players who participated in the original closed beta will be able to use the same character. In other words, those testers won't have to start again from scratch and will be able to test out higher level contents. In-game and forum events also will be held for players to engage in a more interactive experience.

“This new milestone will contain quite a bit of additional game content including more quests, and various labyrinths and dungeons,” says Han Joo Lee, EYA Interactive’s global service manager. “With all the new players in the game for the limited public beta, the experience will be much more interactive and users will really get a feel for the commercial version; especially playing with group skills like formation in a party or guild battles.”

Developed in-house by EYA Interactive, Titan Online offers a very real picture of ancient China with 75 maps of historical sites, including Dun Hwang, Chang An, Kai Feng, Beijing, Shu Zhou, Shao Lin Temple, Chin Shi Huang mausoleum, Hang Zhou, Tai Shan, The Great Wall, and Hwang Her. In order to create the most true-to-life experience, the EYA development team spent time in China researching the ancient and historical cities so they could accurately reproduce them in the game.

The upcoming beta test, which will begin on March 19, 2009, will allow users to tap into a world that has already birthed a veritable civilization of fans in Asia. It will offer players an opportunity to discover enthralling characters in a beautiful 3D, cell-shaded world filled with unique characters. Street Gears, the free to play inline skating game out 5th March

The official release of the inline skating MMORPG Street Gears. Zu Online - Power Leveling Strategy Series-Swordsman

Among the five clans of Zu Online, the Swordsmen are the best damage dealers. Master Swordsmen wield the most powerful spells. Magic that can cause a lot of damage to a single target. Also, their spells cool down fast and can be cast instantly. Because of this, Swordsmen can level faster than of the other clans.

Now, let’s talk about how to spend their talent points to increase the number of monsters they can slay. To slay monsters quickly, Swordsmen need to spend almost all their talent points on the “Cohesion” branch.

First Row

Spend 10 talent points on “Lethality” until it increases the critical strike damage bonus by 14%. This may be one of most practical talents of Swordsmen.

Second Row

Spend 10 points on “Disabling Sword” to increase the Garrote chance of Flying Sword, God Sword and Multi Sword Strike spells by up to 11%.

“Subtle Strike” will not help slay monsters faster, so it can be left out for now.

Third Row

Spend 1 point on “Store Spirit”. Then you can use this talent when you have enough vigor, which will really help slay monsters.

The other talents on this row will not help accelerate monster slaying, so they can be ignored for now. However, we still need to spend more talent points on this talent branch in order to activate the talents on the fourth row. So spend 9 talent points on “Flying Sword Strike”.

Fourth Row

Spend 10 talent points on “Mortal Strikes” to increase the Critical Strike chance of Air Explosion, Fury of the Universe and Swirling Wing Spells by up to 16%.

“Soul Shaking” reduces the movement speed and attack speed of a single target, so it can be ignored for now.

Fifth Row

As for the talents in the fifth row, “Malice” is first on the list, so pump it up until it increases the chance of Critical Strike by 15%. This is another one of the most practical talents of the Swordsmen.

“Disabling Shot” is almost useless when fighting against a crowd of monsters, so it can be ignored for now as well.

Sixth Row

Spend 10 talent points on “Extended Blast” to increase the area of effect of Air Explosion, Fury of the Universe and Swirling Swords spells by 80. This talent is very helpful, especially for fighting against monsters while away from the keyboard.

When you have enough talent points to spend on the talents above, you should be around Level 207. At this level, you should be a veteran, and with the power you’ve gathered, it’s time to start mastering PvP, if you haven’t already. It’s all up to you. Remember that, to level fast, Swordsmen must use a Bolus of Rapidity to increase their experience gained. Also, before fighting AFK, Swordsmen should use Soul Power and make sure they have enough Soul Herbs left in their backpack.

HAWX PC slips a week - Flight sim not quite ready for takeoff

Ubisoft's announce that Tom Clancy's HAWX for PC has been pushed back by a week.

The PC version was due to launch a week later than the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions - which are out this Friday - but will now release in a little over two weeks on March 20, says Ubisoft, offering no explanation for the delay.

Indie horror video game The Path pricing announced

Tale of Tales announces pricing of upcoming indie horror game

When The Path is released through Steam, Direct2Drive and Tale of Tales' own website on March 18th 2009, it will cost $9.99. This is considerably less than other PC games of a comparable scope and budget.

"It was a difficult decision to make," say creators Auriea Harvey and Michael Samyn. "Ideally we'd prefer to just give our work away. But that is not an option with The Path. So when it was time to decide on a price, frankly, we had no idea. How can you put a value on something that is such an important part of your life, that is the fruit of such hard and dedicated work? And what should the price be of a product that is unlike anything available on the market? In the end, we decided that the most important thing to us was that many people play the game. So we didn't want price to stand in the way of that."

The Path is Tale of Tales' first experiment with commercial games publishing. An experiment involving the creation of a new type of game experience for a new type of player. In search of a new kind of economy, where authors and players support each other without outside interference. It sounds like a naive ideal but it is certainly a dream they share with many independent game creators. Sales of The Path will determine the future of Tale of Tales. And as such, the future of a type of exploration of the medium that not many developers are involved in.

The Path is a contemporary interpretation of the ancient tale of Little Red Ridinghood. It features six sisters -Robin, Rose, Ginger, Ruby, Carmen and Scarlet- who are sent, one by one, to their grandmother's house on an errand. Grandmother lives on the other side of a path that is flanked by a dense forest, equally foreboding as it is inviting. Will the girls obey their mother's explicit command of staying on the path? Land of Magic server will stay up and running until March 8, 2009.

Lizard Interactive announced today that Closed Beta Test of Land of Magic will be extended until March 8. Land of Magic closed beta started last February 26 and it was scheduled to end March 5. CBT went smoothly without any major bugs or problems. Lizard has decided to keep the servers running for 3 extra days to let testers continue to enjoy higher level contents before the Open Beta.

However, Closed Beta events will not be extended and it will be concluded as scheduled. Winners of Bug Report and Fast Level Up events will be selected among participated players from February 26 to March 5. Announcement of event winners will be posted on Land of Magic official site on March 13, 2009.

Wonderland Online: Ultimate Challenge

As the design of the Cursed Palace counts down to completion, Wonderland Online players can get ready to enter the palace of mystery and danger.

The land is composed of 12 palaces, each of which is protected by one powerful fighter and 4 assisting guards. The Cursed Palace was inspired by constellations, so palaces are named after 12 zodiacs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces).

The first 3 palaces would be easily conquered, but as you step for the next level, the danger is growing. At first sight, those guardians might appear to be unbeatable. However, once their weakness is discovered, the task will be much easier.

If you are super intelligent and absolutely fearless, you might have some luck to pass 12 palaces with rich awards. After that you will face the ultimate challenge in your lifetime. In the final round, Athena will lead her four strongest knights to fight tooth and nail to defend her last territory. Only the bravest warriors with incredible brainpower have hope of defeating them.

Survival Game Mode with a friends ranking system in its upcoming release of Zeno Clash

ACE Team, an independent video game developer based in Santiago, Chile, today announced that it will include a new Survival Game Mode with a friends ranking system in its upcoming release of Zeno Clash. Zeno Clash is a PC-based action/fighting game set in a punk fantasy world. ACE Team will distribute Zeno Clash via Steam and Direct2Drive this Spring for a value price of $20.00 USD. The developer is also currently working to secure a retail publisher. In addition, ACE Team has also launched a new blog for Zeno Clash where it will introduce new information about the game each week leading up to the game's launch. Zeno Clash's new Survival Game Mode features Unlockable Tower Challenges, a new Ranking System and Ascending Tower Levels. The Survival Mode offers players the enjoyment of the gameplay of Zeno Clash without having to replay through the single player campaign. In survival mode, players will unlock several 'Tower Challenges' as they progress through the game. Perhaps the most exciting feature of Survival Mode is that it will also include a ranking system that will compare the player's performance against their friends. The ranking system gives a new dimension to the game mode because players are not only trying to survive through the challenges, but they are also competing against their friends.

"We took into consideration the feedback we were getting from the community and we really felt it was important to offer a game component that focused solely on the fun of the combat system that also had a competitive component," said Andres Bordeu, Co-Founder of ACE Team. "We believe we really accomplished our goal with the new Survival Game Mode with friends ranking system. As we have progressed in the development of the new mode we have found it a blast to play and we're eager to see how the stats turn out once players are competing with each other at release."
