Battlefield 4 is a seminal moment for the Battlefield series as more award-winning, multiplayer game design elements are incorporated into the single-player campaign. In single-player, gamers will experience huge environments, a playground of destruction, access to an arsenal of vehicles and the ability to direct squad mates. Taking a page from the social aspect of multiplayer gaming, the single-player mode will now track players’ progress, adding an element of persistence and friendly competition to the campaign.

The creators behind the Eternal Descent: Heavy Metal Heroes video game have teamed up with Squid Kids Ink to create an extremely limited run of 200 Heavy Metal Heroes 10-Dohs. Designed by Nate Mitchell, The vinyl 10-Doh figure resembles a retro NES video game cartridge with arms and legs – and this variant edition comes in a suitably metal matt black casing, featuring key artwork and logos from Eternal Descent: Heavy Metal Heroes. Available exclusively at the IDW Publishing booth #5150 at Comic-Con International: San Diego, from Thursday 18 July to Sunday 21 July 2013.
War of Nations game coming to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
"In War of Nations, we set out to bring an immersive and competitive hardcore strategy MMO to mobile and tablet devices," said Ken Chiu, SVP of Social Games, GREE International, Inc. "In developing the game, we took into consideration how hardcore players could play a game on mobile. Created by video game legend Keiji Inafune, best known for his work on some of the industry’s most respected game series -- such as Mega Man, Onimusha and Dead Rising -- BUGS vs. TANKS! casts players as a shrunken World War II tank in a battle for survival against swarms of hostile insects. BUGS vs. TANKS! was previously released only in Japan as part of the GUILD02 collection, featuring masterworks by some of the industry’s most respected game creators.
