The re-release comes in advance of the launch of the new Ridge Racer 3D for Nintendo 3DS, coming first half of 2011, and Ridge Racer Unbounded, the destructive new direction for the series recently announced for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Originally released for PS one in 1999 in Europe and North America, Ridge Racer Type 4 is a legend of arcade-style drift racing which garnered critical acclaim and a multitude of fans the world over. Ridge Racer Type 4 is heading to PlayStation Network in March 2011 for PlayStation 3 and PSP.
