EVE Online: Commissioned Officer Edition making its way to UK & German retailers this December

New retail edition of the award-winning science fiction masterpiece EVE Online. Distributed by NAMCO BANDAI Partners, the updated retail pack of the popular sci-fi MMORPG is entitled EVE Online: Commissioned Officer Edition and is coming this December with unrivalled new player support.

This latest boxed edition will include an exclusive in-game item, the Cerebral Accelerator, which is a military-grade implant that significantly increases a new pilot’s skill development. While they give a powerful boost to nearly all abilities, these bonuses are only effective for the first 30 days of a pilot’s life as they get up to speed in the universe.

The Commissioned Officer Edition also includes a CD key for starting a new account, 30 days paid game subscription time and an EVE poster with helpful hints and tips on the reverse side for getting started. This edition can be used to start a new account or to convert a free trial or buddy program trial account into a full account with the access and benefits afforded to all EVE subscribers. The Cerebral Accelerator will be delivered to the first character created on the account and cannot be acquired through any other source.

“The Commissioned Officer Edition is the best way for a new player to get a running start in the highly competitive environment of EVE Online” says Senior Producer Arnar Gylfason.

“We are very glad to be teaming up with CCP to offer this updated EVE Online experience to British and German players who have not yet experienced this great game, as well as to existing fans of the series,” said Olivier Comte, Vice President Marketing, Sales and Publishing at NAMCO BANDAI Partners.

EVE Online: Commissioned Officer Edition can be pre-ordered at selected game retailers in the UK and in Germany. This edition, the finest ever for any new EVE pilot just getting started, will not be available via digital distribution.
