TurnOut Ventures, a joint venture between Turner Entertainment Asia and Outblaze Investments, is ramping up its online presence in the Asia-Pacific region with the launch of the highly anticipated, free-to-play, massively multi-player online game (MMOG) FusionFall (www.FusionFall.com), as well as through new partnerships with publishers and payment providers to enhance its free-to-play MMOG, Ben 10 Omniverse: Rise of Heroes (www.Ben10.net).
Slated for rollout in the fall of 2010, the Asia-Pacific launch of FusionFall will follow the huge success of its debut in the U.S., where over 9 million players have joined the fun. To further offer cutting-edge online entertainment, TurnOut will partner with Omedia in Singapore and Malaysia and c2vision in Thailand to add new operating territories for Ben 10 Omniverse: Rise of Heroes – the massively multi-player online game based on one of the world’s most popular characters for boys.
“The launch of the incredible online experience FusionFall in the Asia-Pacific region and mutually beneficial partnerships with Ben 10 MMOG publishers such as Omedia and c2vision, are set to bring gamers never-before-seen levels of immersive game play, as well as create even more localized, partnership opportunities,” said Benjamin Grubbs, Regional Director, Interactive Media, Turner Entertainment Networks Asia and General Manager, TurnOut Ventures. “Most importantly, these initiatives build on and extend our iconic properties into the online space, so that fans can be part of the Cartoon Network experience anytime and anywhere.”
FusionFall mixes all the action of a 3-D console game with the customization, character development and open-ended world exploration of a massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG). This online game re-imagines popular Cartoon Network characters in an anime-inspired style and sets them in dynamic new environments. Fans will create their own in-game avatars and join their favorite heroes in an epic battle to save the world from an alien invasion. FusionFall players will have to restore order to the Cartoon Network Universe by teaming up with friends and more than 50 characters from some of Cartoon Network’s most popular shows, including Ben 10: Alien Force, Dexter’s Laboratory, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Ed, Edd n Eddy, The Powerpuff Girls, Codename: Kids Next Door, and Samurai Jack.
Ben 10 Omniverse: Rise of Heroes is the first massively multi-player online game based on Cartoon Network’s hit animated series Ben 10 and was created in partnership with developer Typhoon Games Studio Ltd. In the game, players take on the role of one of the students at Bellwood Elementary School. After Ben’s Omnitrix device overloads in a blinding flash of light, the students find themselves trapped in a strange world and transformed into alien creatures. With Ben, Gwen and Grandpa Max to guide them, players face a series of challenges and adventures in a fantastic new world. Check out Ben 10 Omniverse: Rise of Heroes at www.Ben10.net.
