Cut Chemist and D.J. Period joint the team at DJ Hero video game

Period, returning to the gaming realm, are dropping the needle, mixing and scratching exclusive mixes appearing in Activision Publishing Inc.’s DJ Hero. The two DJ/producers will join DJ AM, DJ Grandmaster Flash, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Shadow, DJ Z-Trip, The Scratch Perverts and DJ Yoda in an epic collaboration featuring the biggest talent and hottest mixes ever amassed on a 93-mix soundtrack.

Founding member of rap group Jurassic 5 and Latin funk band Ozomatli, GRAMMY Award Winning DJ/producer, Cut Chemist, lends his creativity to DJ Hero in a mix featuring unreleased music from one of the biggest bands in the world.



Fresh off of groundbreaking remix projects with legendary MC Q-Tip, and rising hip hop star K’NAAN, award-winning DJ/producer J. Period joins the DJ Hero cast with two exclusive mixes:

• Q-Tip “Good Thang” vs. Billy Squier “Big Beat”
• Gang Starr “Just to Get a Rep” vs. Mobb Deep “Shook Ones, Part 2”

Expanding upon the revolutionary easy to pick up/challenging to master gameplay mechanics developed and refined in Guitar Hero, DJ Hero delivers an all-new interactive music experience that allows players to start the party and not only experience, but to hear music in an all-new way.
