JoWooD Productions is happy to present its first person shooter Painkiller Overdose in Electronic Sports League (ESL) tournaments in November 2007. Europe's largest league for computer games arranges a release tournament for the game. Registration for the opening cup is possible on www.esl.eu, ending one day before the competition starts. In addition to the opening cup, ESL organizes two more tournament series: The ESL Cup Series (December 5th – January 20th) and the ESL Shoot Outs, carried out every month (December 2007 – May 2008). Winners of the tournaments will obtain strictly limited Microsoft SideWinder mice with Painkiller Overdose branding and a high end graphics card made by Sapphire. Overall, the ESL introduces Painkiller Overdose with prices totalling over 1,500 Euro.

"The ESL is home to over 730,000 members – hence it is the perfect eSport community to introduce a new game to the scene. We are especially pleased to co-introduce Painkiller Overdose as its precedessor was a huge success", says Alexander Albrecht, Head of Publisher Relations at Turtle Entertainment.

"Simultaneous to releasing Painkiller Overdose we kick off in the Electronic Sports League. Such tournaments are the best way to introduce a new game to Europe's biggest eSport community", says Johannes Natterer, Senior Marketing Manager at JoWooD Productions.

JoWooD Productions will release Painkiller Overdose on November 23th 2007.
