Team VVV adds PC

One of the most successful Console Gaming Teams; Veni Vidi Vici, I Came I Saw, I Conquered (VVV) (www.teamvvv.com) formally announces its expansion into the PC gaming arena, revealing its registered trademark logo and company branding.

Initially aimed at the racing community, Veni Vidi Vici have successfully expanded to incorporate more genres, with the potential to become one of the world’s most successful console gaming teams. With UK successes at Matchbox 360, the World Cyber Games and XLeague.tv to date, Team VVV have already proved they are on the road to making this happen.

Besides running a popular community website that is fast approaching 2000 unique members, agreed national coverage for 2006/07 has reached an estimated value of over £250,000 with the team featuring in a range of press, online articles and over 10 hours dedicated TV coverage.

Team VVV is now raising its sights by entering the competitive world of PC Gaming. Alan Boiston, industry veteran with over 13 years in the UK games industry and Managing Director of VVV commented; “2008 will see the team expand even further, giving greater opportunities back to its sponsors. Mastering the world of PC Gaming is the next logical step.” This development sees the introduction of PC Manager Andy Christoforou who has over 7 years experience within the competitive gaming scene, giving the PC platform the dedicated focus it requires to reach the top.

Future plans include the re-launch of www.teamvvv.com with even more exclusive content. The team is looking to secure further sponsorship deals that will enable them to achieve even greater success in the competitive gaming arena and provide valuable industry-relevant marketing opportunities. Alan Boiston concludes; “Veni Vidi Vici represents a credible video gaming team for the new generation of gamers and aims to be at the top of established online competitions as well as LAN events such as the i-series and Matchbox 360” he adds; “whilst quality teams have existed in the past, many have not been structured as commercially viable entities, lacking the ground level knowledge and stability to develop a long term marketing plan for this potentially lucrative area.”

Besides being a competitive gaming team, Veni Vidi Vici’s future goal is to keep online communities active, encouraging fun and decent online behaviour, whilst establishing an instantly recognisable brand. Furthermore, the team will be a valuable tool providing developers concise filtered feedback, creating feature content for publishers and consulting with major PR companies on running and adjudicating major gaming events.
