Well, well, well... Painkiller Hell & Damnation (aka Painkiller HD) is coming out on PC on 31st October - sorry console dudes and dudettes, but you have a few months to wait - and we're happy to unleash this melancholy intro cinematic.
Take a look at the cinematic intro trailer here (the track “Painkiller” by Siri Svegler is not part of the original soundtrack):
The depths of hell can be experienced in single-player mode, co-operative mode or multiplayer mode for full-on explosive FPS gameplay. Players assume the role of Daniel Garner, a desperate man stuck in purgatory who must regain contact with his estranged wife Catherine. Unfortunately for him, creatures born of pure evil will not make that journey easy.
Developed by Polish studio The Farm 51 and powered by Unreal Engine 3, Painkiller Hell & Damnation recreates the sensations and hardcore gameplay of the original Painkiller. Released in 2004, Painkiller won high praise and many accolades and fans for its fast and unique gameplay. Keeping true to the old-school FPS ideology, lightning-fast movement enables skilful players to get into the heart of the fast-paced gameplay, topped off with stunning enormo-boss fights requiring sneaky tactics.
Painkiller Hell & Damnation will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on the 22nd January 2012.
