World of Warcraft fans have one final chance to take part in this auction, and get a piece of Blizzard Entertainment history. Recent changes to the hardware running the various World of Warcraft realms in Europe have made a unique opportunity available to players. The old hardware has been carefully decommissioned and lovingly preserved in presentation cases (see attached pictures), and the final batch of retired EU server blades are now available for bidding on eBay; this is the very final step in the charity auction that began in October. Net proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
St. Jude is a pediatric hospital and research facility where patients from Europe and around the world are cared for. European medical professionals benefit from the discoveries made at St. Jude in their treatment of children with cancer and other serious illnesses. Partner clinics across the globe are aided by the hospital’s valuable research.
If you thought your chance had gone… think again! You can go place your bids now.
