The Gypsy Pistoleros today announced that Bethesda Softworks’ recently-released third person shooter, WET, will be the sole sponsor of their 2009 October U.K Tour. Four tracks from the band’s forthcoming album, Hotel de la Muerte, are featured in WET, a highly stylized game developed by Artificial Mind & Movement for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system.
The band’s 2009 October tour supports their new album due out in the U.K. on October 12th on Bad Reputation Records. A double album release, available through Chavis Records, will be out on November 30th in North America and Asia.
Gypsy Pistoleros’ songs add to WET’s heart-pounding, adrenaline-pumping adventure of double crosses and paybacks in which players take on the role of problem fixer, Rubi Malone. Featuring top-notch voice over performances from Eliza Dushku (as Rubi Malone), Malcolm McDowell (as crime lord Rupert Pelham) and Alan Cumming (as villain Christopher Sorrell), WET offers up a perfect mix of violence and humor set against a stellar soundtrack and original score, both of which capture the game’s cool, retro-70s grindhouse vibe.
