1 v 100 was a game show that aired on NBC in 2007 and 2008 that was hosted by Bob Saget. The show featured a contestant (the 1) competing against "The Mob" (the 100) in a series of multiple choice trivia questions. If the 1 outlasted the 100, they would walk away with $1,000,000. The show aired it's last episode on February 22, 2008 and was canceled that November.
That was a problem for Microsoft, as a few months earlier they had announced that an Xbox Live Arcade version of 1 vs 100 would is in the works.
Well, after a few delays, and with 1 vs 100 still canceled, Microsoft is finally ready to release the XBLA version. And best of all, it will be free for Xbox Live Gold members.
The game will allow players to compete as part of the 100 person mob with a Live host every time. Real life prizes will also be given out to the best players and to those that compete the most. Sure beats Achievements (but it'll likely have those too).
