Sirocco Mobile teams up with European broadcasters for Euro SMS 2008 Mobile Massive Multiplayer sport game


Football fans may compete ‘live’ in the first international mobile massive multiplayer game dedicated to UEFA Euro 2008 throughout June 2008. Sirocco Mobile delivers the technical solution bridging six TV stations in four countries and hundreds of thousands of mobile users.
The mobile competition, basing on simple penalty shoot-out, amplifies football emotions and rivalry between nations’ supporters. The fans of group ‘B’ countries of UEFA Euro 2008 – Poland, Germany, Austria and Croatia – take part in it by playing through Java, Wap or SMS only. Winners of national contests will later on fight with representatives of other countries, exactly as the real national teams.
Sirocco Mobile crafted an all-in-one solution for the competition. The company provides mobile phones application, SMS and WAP game, and also servers’ system for real time gaming. The technology is implemented by ProSieben, 9Live Channel, Kabel 1, Sat 1 in Germany and Austria, in leading Polish TV station – Polsat and in Croatia.
