Download Sandy Beach Now Available for WiiWare

Enjoy a fun day at Sandy Beach as you build elaborate sandcastles with Konami's newest downloadable content game, now available for 500 Wii Points.

In Sandy Beach, players will strategically build their sandcastle and defend it with cannons against an army of destructive crabs in the Crab Battle mode.

Players can also discover beach treasures and additional canons with their own metal detector in order to customize the ultimate Sandy Beach sandcastle.

Grey's Anatomy the video game for Nintendo Wii, DS and Windows PC

Ubisoft are to develop a video game based on the acclaimed television drama series "Grey’s Anatomy." Designed for the Wii, the Nintendo DS and PC Grey’s Anatomy: The Video Game is scheduled for release early 2009.

"Ubisoft is thrilled to be collaborating with ABC Studios to turn this phenomenal television series into an interactive experience," said Christian Salomon, vice president of worldwide licensing at Ubisoft. "In Grey’s Anatomy: The Video Game, fans will have a chance to take on the roles of all of their favorite doctors in an all-new original storyline. As each doctor, players will make important personal and professional decisions, explore the direct relationships with each other, and perform the delicate surgeries the series is known for, all through fun and engaging game play."

New York: Face off against enemies in a comic book style version of the Big Apple in the New York World's many levels.

Steal the bad guy’s weapons from them by tapping the enemy with your stylus when they fly too low onto the touch screen. Some strangely colored enemies will be able to shield your shots in various levels.

Target the clouds to change the color of your shots to destroy the like-colored enemies. Some enemies will hide behind color-changing clouds.

Try changing the color of your fire elsewhere, and then use angled shots to defeat the hiding enemy.

Each MySim character brings a unique combination of skills to the mission, with differing levels of endurance, speed and luck giving you the option to choose the best MySim for the task. Bomberman blasts back! on Nintendo DS

Konami oversees the return of a legend to Nintendo DS
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced a February 13th release date for its forthcoming DS title Bomberman 2.

Bomberman 2 marks the welcome return of Hudson Soft’s evergreen bomb-toting hero and will sees the popular franchise undergoing a visual make-over and a wealth of new elements to the gameplay.
While the familiar basis of laying bombs to eradicate patrolling foes remains intact, Hudson Soft has expanded it across a more open format, creating a deeper title that maintains the addictive nature the series is famed for.

A more open play area contributes greatly to the action, and the player is now charged with completing set missions within the ever-decreasing time limit. These include simple tasks such as destroying a set number of blocks within a short time frame, through to escaping from a level or blowing up specific energy cores. Multiple bombs and a wealth of power-ups can also be collected, while the series’ huge bosses make a welcome return – testing the player’s accuracy and use of timed detonations.

Bomberman 2 can also be customised, with players able to change the main hero’s appearance and capabilities as new items become available, with over 160,000 possible additions on offer. Likewise, the series’ famed multi-player aspect has been enhanced, with the new game enjoying a four-player Versus mode via either the Wi-Fi connection, while up to eight can compete via the Wireless service.

EA brings Scrabble to PSP, DS and Xbox Live

Fans of casual, family-friendly games are about to see their circle of fun widen with a slate of new Hasbro-branded digital play experiences on a variety of platforms from Electronic Arts in 2009. Leading the charge is SCRABBLE, which rocketed to the No. 1 position on Pogo.com with more than 2.5 million players laying down virtual tiles since its June 2008 launch.

The best-selling crossword puzzle board game is on deck to land on handheld platforms including the Nintendo DS and Sony PlayStation Portable system (PSP) in March 2009 in the US and Canada. EA is also gearing up to inject nostalgic fun into the Xbox LIVE Arcade by bringing perennial board game favorites to the popular platform. Under a Hasbro Family Game Night banner, games such as SCRABBLE (US and Canada only), BOGGLE, BATTLESHIP, YAHTZEE, CONNECT FOUR, SORRY! and SORRY! Sliders will begin to roll out in Spring 2009. EA will showcase the highly anticipated lineup at the Consumer Electronics Show on January 8-11, 2009 in Las Vegas.

SCRABBLE on the Nintendo DS and PSP will offer something for every crossword puzzle fan with three modes of play including: Classic, which offers traditional play; Speed, where players race the clock; and, the new fast paced SCRABBLE SLAM card game where players try to be the first to discard all their SLAM cards by making four letter words. SLAM will be available for the first time digitally on the handheld versions of SCRABBLE. With six difficulty levels, SCRABBLE will serve up a Training mode with six training exercises that enable new or rusty players to polish their skills before their first big showdown. SCRABBLE comes loaded with extras such as the SCRABBLE Word Finder and Wi-Fi multiplayer capability (both single and multi-cart play). Debuting in March 2009, the Nintendo DS and PSP games are expected to be rated “E” for Everyone and carry an MSRP of $29.99.

The SCRABBLE Nintendo DS and PSP games will join the roster of previously released versions which have proven to hold great appeal, similar to its board game counterpart. In the past two years, EA launched three separate mobile versions of the game (in the US and Canada only) – including SCRABBLE for the iPod®, iPhone™ and feature phones. Online versions of SCRABBLE also launched on Pogo.com and social networking sites in June 2008. All have been widely adopted and received accolades across platforms.

SCRABBLE was the No. 1 multiplayer game in its launch month competing against more than 100 other offerings on Pogo.com. In July 2008, more than 5 million SCRABBLE games were played equating to 4.3 million hours of play.
SCRABBLE for the iPhone and iPod touch launched in July and quickly rose into the top 25 of all applications. Today, out of over 8,000 applications on the App Store, SCRABBLE remains in or near the top 50.

EA and Hasbro will stock Xbox LIVE Arcade with Hasbro Family Game Night, a crowd-pleasing assortment of games that are instantly recognizable household names such as SCRABBLE, CONNECT FOUR, BOGGLE, YAHTZEE, BATTLESHIP, SORRY!, and SORRY! Sliders. All games will feature both original and new ways to play, including a Party Mode that features multiple mini-game versions of each title. Eledees - The Adventures of Kai and Zero on Nintendo DS

Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero has shipped to retail stores nationwide. Originally released for Nintendo Wii in 2006, the sequel to the popular original action series will now be available for the first time on the Nintendo DS.

In Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero, Kai’s father creates a magical bus that whisks Kai and Zero through mysterious worlds where they face a series of challenging quests to find, capture and befriend the magical Elebits. Elebits serve as energy sources in a far-off world where energy resources have been depleted.

New to the Nintendo DS, players use each of the Omega Elebits’ special powers to help solve puzzles, reveal hidden paths, freeze flowing water, turn darkness into light, levitate rocks, walk on water and much more. Suikoden Now Available for PlayStation Network

Konami’s epic RPG Suikoden makes its way onto PlayStation Network today as the flagship title is now available for download for $5.99. In Suikoden, players enter an ancient world of bravery, mysticism and romance as they embark on a quest to discover their true destinies.
With the future of the Scarlet Moon Empire at stake, players seek out the Stars of Destiny to aid them in overthrowing the corrupt government. The head of the Liberation Army, players can also gather up to 108 companions to join them in battles as they call the shots in large-scale warfare. Suikoden offers variation in combat with the ability to battle groups of enemies with a team of six characters, defeat foes in one-on-one duels, or control the battlefield during major conflicts as the Liberation army wages war.
