PUBG Global Series 2020 Qualification and Format for $6 million in prizes

PUBG Global Series (PGS) - Pro-PUBG teams from around the globe will compete to set the pace of the competitive Battle Royale series. The first of four PUBG esports events, PGS: Berlin, will take place at Messe Berlin from March 31 to April 12. PGS: Berlin’s Group Stage will take place on March 31 - April 3, followed by the Elimination Stage on April 4 - 5, before culminating at the Grand Finals on April 10 - 12.


A total of 32 teams will compete at each of the three PGS events. The top four teams from the most recent global competition will automatically qualify for the next event. The remaining 28 slots will be filled by teams who participate in regional qualifiers in one of the six regions, including Korea, China, Japan, Europe, Americas, and Asia Pacific.

SEGA announces plans for fully recyclable packaging for PC games

Starting with Total War: ROME II – Enemy at the Gates Edition, following success with Football Manager 2020.



SEGA announced that it will switch to fully recyclable packaging for all its physical PC products, starting with the imminent release of Creative Assembly’s Total War: ROME II – Enemy at the Gates Edition, on 6 February 2020. This edition will feature the Total War: ROME II along with the Hannibal at the Gates, Imperator Augustus and Empire Divided DLCs. The news follows on from the successful collaboration between SEGA Europe and Sports Interactive in November 2019, which saw the physical release of Football Manager 2020, launched in 100% recyclable packaging.

Mind-boggling student game video goes viral with 4 million views

A Computer Games Technology student from Abertay University in Dundee in Scotland has gone viral after sharing a mind-boggling video of his unique new video game.


Matt Stark’s game – which is as of yet untitled – arms players with a polaroid camera, with any photo they take coming to life as part of the video game world.

A video shared by the 26-year-old on Twitter demonstrating the concept has sparked global interest, and has been viewed more than 4 million times.

Blood of Steel update - new Star system and 2 heroes

One of many new content updates once its free-to-play PvP MOBA Blood of Steel has launched. This first update, coming soon after release, introduces two heroes and a new customisation feature called the Star System.


The Star System allows players to personalise the outfits of their chosen generals in a variety of outfits with a contemporary twist. New items can be either purchased in the Blood of Steel store using the in-game currency, or by getting tokens by completing daily quests. Blood of Steel will launch as a free-to-play title on Steam on February 20th.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Adventure Sync Arrives This Week

Adventure Sync, a Niantic Real World Platform gameplay feature, is rolling out this week in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.


This highly-requested feature gives players the option to connect their game to Apple Health or Google Fit to record their walking distance – even when Harry Potter: Wizards Unite isn’t running. Once enabled in the game’s Settings menu, player walking distance will be tallied in the background and applied toward unlocking their Portkey Portmanteaus.
