Survivors Brings an Expanded Demo to Steam Next Fest
One wrong move… your run is over
Japan developer iDiOSLAB is bringing Delve Survivors to the event, with an extended demo of their turn-based survivors-like and it's one not to be missed. Already huge in Japan, Delve Survivors is a dungeon-crawler with a unique twist. Every action requires careful consideration and precision, but one wrong move and that's your run over
That's the idea behind Delve Survivors, an indie dungeon-crawling RPG that combines the monster hordes, powerful character builds, and addictive progression of Survivors games with the deliberate, tactical gameplay of a classic turn-based roguelike.
Developed by iDiOSLAB and published by NGJ Corporation, Delve Survivors is bringing its pre-release demo to Steam Next Fest, October 19–26, 2026
Four Dungeons, Hundreds of Items with Endless Builds
With three playable classes, a wide variety of skills, and hundreds of items to discover, players can experiment with countless combinations of abilities and equipment to create their own unique builds.
Demo includes:
- Four unique dungeons: Explore distinct environments filled with dangerous enemies, hidden treasures, and powerful bosses.
- Choose From Three playable classes: Warrior, Archer, or Magi Hundreds of items and endless builds: Collect weapons, armour, and accessories, and experiment with different combinations of skills and equipment.
- Three game modes: Play at your own pace on Casual Mode, add "permadeath" and lose everything on HardCore mode, or just risk your gear on Casual Rogue Mode.
- Flexible controls: Play your way with full mouse, keyboard, and controller support, bringing classic dungeon-crawling gameplay to modern control schemes.
- Persistent character progression: Enjoy rapid, Survivors-style progression within each dungeon while carrying loot and gear on from dungeon to dungeon, allowing characters to grow stronger over time. Tactical enemy encounters: Face enemies with varied behaviors and challenging boss mechanics that reward careful positioning and strategic decision-making.
- Online leaderboards: Compare your performance with other players and see how you stack up against fellow adventurers.
Players explore randomized dungeons, battle hordes of monsters, collect hundreds of items, and develop unique character builds across three playable classes. With enemies acting only when the player does, every movement becomes a tactical decision in a world filled with increasingly dangerous encounters.
The demo offers over an hour of gameplay for the average player, with plenty of opportunities for replay ability through different classes and character builds.
For more dedicated adventurers, the developers also plan to introduce Hellgate, a challenging late-game dungeon designed to put carefully crafted builds to the test and provide an extended gameplay experience later during Steam Next Fest.
The additional dungeons will be playable in the demo exclusively during Steam Next Fest, October 19-26, offering players a limited-time opportunity to experience a larger portion of the game ahead of its full release.
All the excitement of Survivors, with time to think!
While most Survivors games challenge players to survive relentless waves of enemies in real time, Delve Survivors approaches the formula differently.
Enemies only act when the player does, giving players complete control over the pace of combat. Rather than relying on quick reflexes, survival depends on careful positioning, planning, and finding creative ways to combine skills and equipment.
But the differences go beyond turn-based combat. Instead of fighting in a single arena and surviving until a timer runs out, players must explore and fight their way through a dungeon, reaching its depths within a limited number of turns. Every move counts, creating a unique balance between tactical decision-making and the pressure to keep moving forward.
