Ascend to Zero 100+ tech chips added

First major update is live now, bringing 100+ new Tech Chips, new Avatar build options, expanded “Time to Choose” choices, and plenty of new ways to put together ridiculous runs.

If you’re into roguelites, experimenting with combinations, or just seeing how far you can push a run before everything goes sideways, there’s a lot of new stuff to play with here.

The first major update for Ascend to ZERO is now live, introducing more than 100 new Tech Chips alongside significant new options for building and customizing runs.Version 1.1.0.0 expands the game’s five starting Avatars with new build styles, Avatar-exclusive Tech Chips and supporting chip sets designed to give players more ways to experiment with each character.

At the beginning of a run, players can now select from three Avatar-exclusive chips that help define their playstyle. Those choices also influence the regular Tech Chips, Slot Module Chips and Weapon Tech Chips available throughout the run, creating more distinct build paths for each Avatar.

Some of the new options include:

Golden Gunslinger – Electromagnetic Rail: Creates a rail after Time-Stop that can amplify projectiles travelling through it in the correct direction.

Windborne Spearmaster – Windflow Spear Mastery: Lets players spend Stamina to strengthen stab attacks while aiming.

Scarlet Pirate – Privateer: Defeated enemies can drop special loot that is converted into a barrage of projectiles when Time-Stop ends.

The update also significantly expands “Time to Choose,” the system that lets players select bonuses that affect their run. Previously focused on Stage 1, the feature can now be unlocked at the beginning of additional stages through the Fate Editor.

New choices include Me of Another World, which grants a Tech Chip belonging to another Avatar - Storm of Possibility, which adds additional options to Challenge Events. Also added is Future Manipulation, which turns the player’s next reward into Legendary grade.

New in v1.1.0.0

The update adds new ways to enhance Tech Chip, Slot Module and dash-based attacks, alongside broad balance changes intended to create more viable build combinations.

Players can also expect adjustments to Avatar abilities, enemy health and attack power, EXP distribution, Multidimensional Mode difficulty, existing Tech Chips and a range of bug fixes and performance improvements.
