Mangút blends challenge, narrative and Brazilian culture in a linear story campaign. Gil, a porcupine delivery worker from the outskirts of the city, lives the daily reality of app-based labor in a world of anthropomorphic animals. Each level is designed for flow and a balanced learning curve, so both genre veterans and newcomers stay motivated to keep going.
Gameplay revolves around an expressive grappling hook: aim, attach to marked surfaces, adjust the rope and chain pendulum swings with climbs, drops and bursts of momentum. Bullet time slows critical moments, and a dash doubles as speed and a way to break through the scenery, all built on fully custom physics with tight controls, coyote time and instant respawn. Breakable platforms, springs, hookable pipes and moving hazards keep every stage shifting, across open sections, forced-scrolling sequences and boss fights.
Between deliveries, Gil goes home. A day-and-night hub connects his performance on the streets to narrative choices and the family budget. Initially drawn to the promise of freedom, Gil ends up facing Hook, a billionaire who treats delivery workers as disposable tools. Player choices shape side plots about solidarity, inequality and resistance, in the emotional zone of Night in the Woods with the mechanical precision of Celeste, Katana ZERO and Sanabi.
