Enter a haunting, dark fantasy world of Wisdom, a dying mountaintop kingdom where the gods of life are losing their grip and Death is spreading across the land. You play a husk of a once-diligent scholar, prophesied to slay an eldritch evil, though whether you fulfill that prophecy or betray it to become an apostle of Death is yours to decide. The game design is streamlined, with less focus on gear management and grind and more on challenging, fair combat, atmosphere, and narrative. False Hero should appeal to old-school gamers who love Legend of Zelda and OG Souls games.
About the Demo
The demo offers players the first chapter of the game, an introduction to the world and mechanics, and two boss fights. In the full game, there will be many more unique and weird locations, enemies, secrets, fashion items, and special abilities to steal. The demo will be available in nine languages.
In the recent False Hero closed playtest, testers highly rated the game, with over 96% recommending it—praising the snappy, fluid combat, great voice acting, and often noting that this is the most exciting upcoming game in the genre in a long time. All the more reason to dive on in.
