Explore an abandoned children’s facility and uncover its haunting secrets
Skunx Games, founded by Winston van Graafeiland, creator of the popular Horror Skunx YouTube channel, has today released its psychological horror game, Dark Pals: The 1st Floor on Steam, priced at €6.70 - $6.70 - £5.99, with a 20% launch discount available.
In Dark Pals: The 1st Floor, players can explore an abandoned children’s mental health facility where they will solve puzzles, encounter unsettling characters, and uncover the eerie mysteries that lay within its walls.
Players traverse shifting levels, solving environmental and logic-based puzzles alongside their Ink Blaster companion, while evading the facility’s disturbing residents such as Chompy Chasey, a dog with a comically large head and far too many teeth, and the ever-moist Binky Drinky. As they progress, what starts as a strange and colourful space will slowly reveal a much darker core.
Progression is perception in Dark Pals and solutions are not always obvious. Some moments may force players to push past their instincts but the further you get, the more memory and reality can begin to blur.
Dark Pals: The 1st Floor features:
- Creepy Mascots: Beware of creepy cartoonish creatures lurking around.
- Abandoned Child Mental Health Asylum: Unravel the mysteries this dark place holds and uncover why it was abandoned in the late-‘80s.
- Clever Environmental Puzzles: Unlock new rooms within the facility by solving puzzles.
- Ink Shooting Toy: Together with your companion Inky, the Ink Blaster, you will be looking for answers…
- Alternate Reality Mystery: An alternative reality horror story featuring eerie music, with Youtube videos that provide additional lore to the game.
Dark Pals: The 1st Floor is the first entry in the series, with future games set to explore new stories within the same universe.
