In-game races that celebrate the franchise’s legacy, special customization rewards, a brand-new track inspired by multiple past titles, and more await players on all platforms
in celebration of 20 adrenaline-fueled years of its flagship Asphalt racing franchise, the company is pulling out all the stops with a multitude of in-game activities and content that not only push the game to new levels of racing action but also pay respect to the series’ roots across multiple platforms and installments.
Available today and racing through August 21st, players can immediately jump into the action and celebrate Asphalt’s legacy with a brand-new racing track that transports racers through three distinct eras of the Asphalt series. Players can burn rubber through San Diego (inspired by Asphalt 8: Airborne), Cairo (inspired by Asphalt 9: Legends), and Los Angeles (inspired by Asphalt 7: Heat) all in a single race with each section featuring graphics that harken back to those classic Asphalt installments, creating an exciting new racing experience that playfully takes a nod to the game’s diverse past.
Continuing the trend of celebrating Asphalt’s legacy, players will also be able to decorate five featured vehicles from the Spotlight Special Event with exclusive throwback decals that emulate the distinct visual identity of past titles in the franchise. These include iconic models such as the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO, Pagani Huayra R, and Bugatti Centodieci. To deepen the nostalgic experience, two remixes from Asphalt 8: Airborne and three tracks originally exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of Asphalt 9: Legends will be added. In addition, 14 fully remastered tracks from previous entries will be released as a special anniversary compilation on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms, showcasing the timeless soundscape of the series.
Lastly, as a tribute to the game that laid the foundation for the entire franchise, Gameloft is bringing back Asphalt Urban GT — the original Java mobile title that marked the beginning of the Asphalt legacy. Available in an emulated version on www.asphaltlegends.com, this retro experience invites new players to discover the roots of the series, while longtime fans can revisit iconic tracks like Paris, New York City, Miami, and Hong Kong. Players who complete all stages will unlock exclusive rewards — including credits, tokens, special cars, and plenty more surprises — as Asphalt Legends bridges past and present in celebration of 20 years of racing.
