Endgame: Proving Ground


The creator of the massively-popular mobile game, Ingress – has unveiled the title for their next real-world location-based mobile game, Endgame: Proving Ground.

An extension of the Endgame universe and revolutionary transmedia project created by worldwide bestselling author James Frey, Endgame: Proving Ground gives players the chance to become part of the narrative and join the alternate-reality battle for humanity using mobile devices.
Gamers and Endgame fans can now join the evolving interactive story and sign up for the chance to participate in the Endgame: Proving Ground closed beta later this year by registering at www.AncientSocieties.com .

In Endgame: Proving Ground, players will join one of the original 12 Lines of humanity and participate in an interactive story spanning real-world locations across the globe. Players will customize their champion and compete in virtual player-vs-player (PvP) battles using their mobile devices near special “Key Sites” scattered around the world.

The story for Endgame: Proving Ground has already begun to unfold through the interactive hub AncientSocieties.com. There players will meet ‘Stella,’ a mysterious and beautiful guide to the world of Endgame through YouTube videos and interactive puzzles. In a brand new version launching today, players will now be able to earn points and achievements through their participation and claim a position on a global leaderboard. These achievements will unlock special bonuses in Endgame: Proving Ground when it comes out later this year.

The story of Endgame: Proving Ground and interactive fiction on AncientSocieties is overseen by alternate reality expert Jim Stewartson, who has worked on immersive experiences for Halo’s “I Love Bees”, and The Dark Knight’s “Why so Serious?” campaigns.
