Multiplay, hosts of the UK’s biggest gaming festival is pleased to announce the Insomnia festivals continue to go from strength-to-strength, with Insomnia52 beating its previous event to become the UK’s biggest gaming festival to-date.
With a footfall of over 30,000, consumers tried the latest games from the world’s biggest publishers, met their heroes from YouTube, such as Ali-A, Syndicate, The Yogscast and many more, as well as We’ve Got Game Founders, Matt Littler and Darren Jefferies. Thousands of gamers brought their own PCs to the venue to create the largest LAN gaming arena in the country.
Featuring new areas such as the Festival Arena and new stages to showcase slots from exhibitors, game developers and YouTubers, Insomnia52 was a perfect mix of classic festival staples and engaging new content. Insomnia still boasts the best tournaments populated by the biggest teams from around the world delivering an esports event unlike any other, watched by tens of thousands live at the Ricoh Arena, and by millions around the world on Twitch.
The Exhibition Hall might close at 6pm, but things don’t slow down at Insomnia with community events from Riot Games for League of Legends, the World Famous Insomnia Pub Quiz with over 1500 participants, and musical entertainment from resident DJ’s Patrizio Cavaliere, Gully Cat and internationally renowned artist DJ Fresh & Messy MC.
