After signing up, every player has four, free well-known Super Heroes: Thing, Cyclops, Falcon and Ms. Marvel available as playable characters. Premium members will also enjoy exclusive characters such as Iron Man or Black Suit Spider-Man. Over 40 famous characters are also available at the in-game Shop at any time. More of the over 5,000 Marvel heroes will be added regularly.
Along with new heroes, players can also obtain additional missions and collectible card decks in the in-game Shop. The currency is either silver coins, reward for successfully completed missions or in the social areas, or gold coins available on the website. "The open beta phase went successfully and smoothly, so we don't want to make our community wait any longer," says Markus Büchtmann, Head of Games at ProSiebenSat.1 Digital. "We are happy to present MMO and comics fans with the world of Marvel Super Hero Squad Online and their childhood heroes."
All active users of the open beta phase will receive an additional hero and mission as a reward.
