The Slitherine Group announces it will host its annual Home of Wargamers press conference in Italy, in the Castle of Pavone Canavese. Each year the group invites developers to present their titles to the press in a picturesque and perfectly suited surrounding. Over the years Slitherine has used the conference to make important announcements and reveal many new titles in development and this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever terms of news, company announcement and the roster of heavyweight developers.
This year, for the first time, Slitherine will be opening the doors of the event to a limited number of members of the community. Just a handful of places are available for players who want a look behind the scenes and to spend some time with the developers and the team on a rather unusual Italian vacation. Guests will also have the opportunity to play a world premiere version of much anticipated hits such as Warhammer® 40,000®: Armageddon™ and the new Close Combat.
“The presence of the community becomes an important step as it is a vital part of our business plan”, said Iain McNeil, Development Director of the Slitherine Group. “We want to hear what they have to say and get our message across and we realize the forum is not always the best place to engage in a profitable debate. We are looking forwards to some good arguments at the conference!”
On top of the product presentations, Slitherine will host separate debate sessions about the key topics that are part of ongoing forum discussions, such as pricing, distribution platforms, gameplay, graphics and so on.
