Neville’s role will see him contribute a regular bi-weekly column hosted on www.easports.com/uk/fifa - utilising his insightful and deep understanding of the game, he will be looking at the Premier League in-form players and teams as well as discussing the hot topics surrounding the world’s most exciting league.
England coach and the most-capped right-back in the country’s history, Neville was also recently announced during the EA press conference at gamescom as part of the Xbox exclusive FUT Legends content within FIFA 14. He will be available alongside some of the world’s greatest players including Pelé, Marco van Basten, Lothar Matthäus, Dennis Bergkamp, Gary Lineker and 33 other past masters of the game.
Neville said of the deal: “It’s great to be working with the team at EA SPORTS. FIFA has become such an integral part of football culture that I hope to bring benefit to the fans. FUT really is a phenomenal success and you can see why as we all like to think we can manage an Ultimate Team of superstars, I can’t wait to see myself out on the (digital) pitch again.”
Shaun White, EA Head of UK PR commented: “We’re delighted to have signed Gary for the 2013/14 season. His knowledge of the game is unrivalled and we’ll be working together to give FIFA 14 players a deeper insight into the real world of football that will enhance their FIFA Ultimate Team experience.”
FIFA 14 will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and other platforms in the UK, as well as later this year on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation 4.
