Last week Ronimo Games opened a Kickstarter to fund building an expansion for their game Awesomenauts. Last night the $125,000 base funding target has been met and so Awesomenauts: Starstorm will soon become a reality. Now that the funding target has been reached, the actual expansion will go into production right away. This means the three new characters along with a Spectator mode, global chat and twin stick controller support.
Ronimo Games will now also open their own crowdfunding page, offering more payment platforms. This will allow fans who weren't able to back before to join in and help grow the game and the expansion. This new page can be found at http://www.awesomenauts.com/Kickstarter. Further stretch goals include a new map, a replay system, customisable matches and full Steamworks and modding support.
All of this was made possible by the amazing community behind Awesomenauts, rallying friends and showing incredible support. Ronimo Games would especially like to thank the people behind the Starstorm fundraiser initiative, who last Saturday played and streamed the game for over 24 hours.
