Following in the footsteps of Dead Island Zombie slayer - Dead Island Riptide start on the voyage home and then onto new island of Palanai.
Our team has escaped the nightmare holiday island of Banoi that was overrun by hordes of Zombies. They end up on a military ship that runs into a storm on the way to safety. The crew start to show signs of the zombie infection and the fun begins. After the storm trashes the ship our friends land on the beach of Palanai another paradise island that turns out to be no paradise.
Palanai is an 'open world' game arena with jungle areas a new city and a Military Station to explore. Riptide now has new weather conditions where heavy rain and monsoon conditions effect gameplay. Your visibility varies and this makes zombie slaying even more difficult. All the rain means the island becomes flooded creating a new means of travel, boats, you can use to navigate the island. Rivers and lakes can be used to escape the zombies but this also gives the zombies more ways to surprise players!
Xian, the receptionist in Dead Island, Sam B, Logan and Purna the police officer all return in Riptide plus John Morgan, cook on the military transport ship, make up the five player options.
