The Last of Us Developers Biographies



Bruce Straley
Bruce Straley is the Game Director of The Last of Us, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and was the co-Art Director of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. He's been making great games at Naughty Dog for over eleven years, and has been in the industry since 1991.



Neil Druckmann
Neil Druckmann is the Creative Director and Writer of The Last of Us at Naught Dog.  Previously Neil was the Lead Designer and Co-Writer on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.  Neil graduated in 2005 with a Masters in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and has been working at Naughty Dog ever since. 

Neil is also the Writer and Creator of the graphic novel, A Second Chance at Sarah.


Arne Meyer
Arne Meyer is the Community Strategist at Naughty Dog. He has been executing interactive, public relations and community activities for over 10 years at Edelman Public Relations and Vivendi games prior to joining Naughty Dog. Arne has participated in the launch campaigns for the Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles and over XX titles, including Gears of War, Forza Motorsport 2, Mass Effect, World in Conflict, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and Crash Bandicoot: Crash of the Titans, among many others. Since joining Naughty Dog in 2008, Arne has worked on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and now Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Arne graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in Public Policy.


Jacob Minkoff
Jacob Minkoff is the Lead Game Designer of The Last of Us at Naughty Dog.
Jacob was one of the founding members of Blue Omega Entertainment and worked there as Lead Designer on Damnation. Following his departure from Blue Omega in 2009, Jacob joined Naughty Dog to serve as a Game Designer on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and then as a Co-Lead Game Designer on Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Jacob has over 10 years of experience in the video game industry.


Evan Wells
Evan Wells is the Co-President of Naughty Dog and has over 17 years of experience making top-selling video games. Prior to joining Naughty Dog, Evan was a designer on ToeJam and Earl 2, Gex, and Gex 2.
Since joining Naughty Dog in 1998, he has worked on the hugely successful Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter franchises, which have sold over 35 million units worldwide combined. With the launch of the PS3, Evan and the team at Naughty Dog premiered the UNCHARTED franchise, which has sold over 7 million units worldwide across two games – UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune and UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves. Evan holds a Computer Science degree from Stanford University.


Ricky Cambier
Ricky Cambier is a Game Designer on The Last of Us at Naughty Dog. He has been making games since age 12 when he first learned to program in BASIC on an Apple II computer. After earning his Computer Science degree at Cal Poly, in San Luis Obispo, California, he gained experience developing visceral stories by spending the next five years studying and creating original theatre in the US and Europe. He co-founded theatre companies in Rhode Island, Austin, Texas, and New York. Ricky returned to his video game roots in 2005 and has shipped eight titles including The Sims Stories, Wii: Ghostbusters, Wii: The Force Unleashed II, Cook Or Be Cooked, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. He strives to bring thoughtful narrative and a strong point of view to his designs.


Christophe Balestra
Christophe Balestra is the Co-President of Naughty Dog and has been making top-selling video games for over 14 years. His passion for programming started when he was 14 and led to making demos on the Atari-ST, Amiga and PC. Christophe was a co-founder of Rayland Interactive in Paris, France, which released several games on PC and the Sega Dreamcast console. Christophe joined Naughty Dog in 2002 as a gameplay programmer on Jak II, followed by serving as lead programmer on Jak 3 and Jak X. As the studio began development on the first game in the UNCHARTED franchise, Christophe became Co-President of Naughty Dog and has since been leading technology innovation for the award-winning UNCHARTED franchise.
