From now until voting closes at the end of February can all fans of video games and video games music visit the voting site at http://halloffame.classicfm.com/ and vote for classical interpretations of their favourite bits of video game music.
Once again, I’m hoping that everybody who votes chooses Nobuo Uematsu’s soundtrack to Final Fantasy VII for at least one of their choices. It’s not essential, but together we are strong! Aerith’s Theme currently sits at No16 in the chart - it would be amazing to see it go higher.
Thanks to the success of last year’s poll there is now LOADS of game music in the voting database (you may find a few errors in there at the moment – these ARE being cleared up), so do vote for your favourites, but the music must be either orchestral or have been arranged for orchestra to count.
Obviously it’s a UK radio station, but voting is very much open worldwide, so people can vote wherever they’re from.
How can you help?
