Technicolor’s Game Sound and Animation teams are proud to announce their work on IO Interactive’s Hitman: Absolution, one of the most anticipated video games of 2012. From the start of production, Technicolor provided a broad suite of services to help IO deliver some of the best performances ever heard in a video game.
Over 45,000 lines of dialogue were recorded and edited at Technicolor's studios in
Burbank, CA., as well as thousands more recorded on the motion capture stage. The main phase of casting and recording was directed by Jamie Mortellaro, who also directed the cast during two weeks of full performance capture.
In addition, Technicolor’s animation studio in Bangalore, India contributed facial
animation, mocap cleanup, and other services.
“This was a big undertaking since we touched on so many different elements of the project,” says Tom Hays, Technicolor’s Director of Game Sound Services. “We got to pretty much act as IO Interactive's LA support team, making sure that they had everything they needed when they flew in to oversee this massive production. We’re thrilled to have been a part of the talented team that created the game.”
