To celebrate the launch of Skylanders Giants, the next chapter of the number one bestselling video game of the year, Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure, some of the Skylanders Giants characters went on a special visit to ZSL London Zoo and invited some celebrity fans to join them.
Mums Donna Air and Jasmine Guinness brought along their children to meet the Skylanders and play the newly launched game, whilst Richard Jones from The Feeling brought his Skylanders mad son, Sonny down to join in the Skylanders fun. Visitors throughout the course of the day were able to play the new game; take part in a Skylanders Giants inspired Treasure Hunt and a green screen experience where kids were photographed with the Skylanders.
Throughout the day, visitors to the Zoo were greeted on their way round by Tree Rex one of the newest additions to the Skylanders family who for one day only was on show at the Zoo. Tree Rex did however take time out from meeting guests, to visit a fellow giant, dropping in on Dirk the Zoo’s resident male Galapagos Tortoise.
Skylanders Giants brings back all the well-loved elements of the original game whilst including exciting and innovative new additions. Combining physical toys with virtual game play, Skylanders Giants offers a gaming experience like no other; with new characters and new challenges, it’s one massive adventure.
Skylanders Giants will introduce more than 20 new figures and a raft of technological and gameplay innovations that create even more opportunities for collaborative and competitive play. The sequel to the best-selling video game title of 2012 launches this month.
