Square Enix confirm that in addition to Wii and Wii U the 3DS would feature in its plans for Dragon Quest X.
3DS will get a series of Dragon Quest X related apps, The first "Dragon Quest X Boukensha no Odekake Benri Tool Vol.1," which in english is "Convenient Tool For Adventurers On the Go: Vol.1."

Also announced is "Key Emblem" item that plays an important role in the game's story. It's required to turn your character back into human form. Key Emblems are scattered throughout the game world.
