Tokyo Jungle is a unique video game that comes from the mind of a PlayStation C.A.M.P. contest winner Yohei Kataoka CEO of Crispy's developer studio. Released in Japan on June 7th 2012, the game is set in the future where a human deserted Tokyo has been taken over by domestic and wild animals.
You can play as one of 50 breeds and 80 types of animal where survival is the key. You have to live, kill, eat and breed to survive or, as in real life you'll die.
Starting life as a 2D side scrolling game it evolved into a 3D world action adventure game. You can breed and form your own pack to help conquer larger and stronger foes. Animals include dogs, lions, horses, elephants and more. Each has it's own unique character where only the fittest will survive. Compete with others with leader boards listing the best players.
You start in the center of Tokyo in a station on the Yamanote line and try to survive and build your world against mounting odds.
Why not start off as an abandoned pet dog, pets would be left when the city was evacuated by humans and would be the most abundant animal in the city. You'll have to eat and built stamina to survive and mate to build your family and help you work your way up the food chain to become the top dog or lion!
The fun doesn't stop here you can dress your animals in all sorts of crazy outfits (helps you stand out in the fights) and lots more customisation options are included in this PlayStation 3 Exclusive video game.
Let's hope the game gets a worldwide release from Sony.
