Sniper Elite V2 is a third person tactical shooter set in the dying days of World War Two and is a next-generation reboot of 2005’s acclaimed original, Sniper Elite. The game weaves an explosive story of an undercover American OSS agent, stalking enemy prey across key historical locations from the Battle of Berlin in a mission to unravel the mysteries and dangers of the German V-2 rocket programme.
The downloadable demo showcases a specially prepared sequence from one of the game’s early missions set against the crumbling streets of the town of Schöneberg. Playing as agent Karl Fairburne, players must stealthily traverse the shattered streets environment on a mission to lay a booby-trap for an unsuspecting armoured enemy convoy. Travelling on board is a sinister expert in rocket engine technology, and critical documents that will lead Fairburne to a secret V2 production facility.
Sniper Elite V2 is developed by UK studio Rebellion and is rated BBFC 15 in the UK and PEGI 16+ in the rest of Europe and Export territories. The game releases in these regions on 4th May and will be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and PC.
