Richard Jacques' original music score for JAMES BOND 007: BLOOD STONE has been awarded Best Original Composition at The Music and Sound Awards 2012.
Internationally acclaimed by critics as "A modern classic Bond score," Jacques' original Bond score was recorded with A-list musicians at Abbey Road Studios. The sold-out awards ceremony was held last night at KOKO in London.
The Music and Sound Awards is the first and only awards ceremony to focus entirely on music and sound design in the media. The awards recognize and celebrate outstanding music and sound design used to enhance visual media. Nominees and winners were selected and voted on by leading creatives, developers, directors, producers and music supervisors.
Classically trained from a young age at the Royal Academy of Music in London with an extensive repertoire in jazz and popular music genres, Richard Jacques' previous scores include MASS EFFECT, ALICE IN WONDERLAND, STARSHIP TROOPERS and HEADHUNTER. Most recently, Jacques scored LITTLE BIG PLANET 2: THE MUPPETS featuring original music compositions such as "Pigs In Space" and "Big Boss Bossa Nova" as well as a new recording of The Muppets theme.
