PlayStation system update 4.10 out now with improved internet browser

The 180mb update to 4.10 is out now for download in the US and Europe.
It's not just a name change although your new account will become a 'Sony Entertainment Network Account' it also promises improved display speed in the PS3 browser.



Also added is 'Dropbox' support where users can store, download files including movies and music to their Dropbox account. Dropbox offers a free 2GB of space just for signing, along with some added space when friends you invite sign up for the site. Users no longer have only the USB thumb or disk drive option for saving data.

The German PlayStation 3 Blog sheds more details about the Browser improvements name-change.

  • Internet browsing has been improved, optimised display and page layouts viewing is improved. Interactive websites that previously did not display properly are now supported by the software 4.10 update.
  • Your PSN account is renamed 'Sony Entertainment Network Account'. The registration process and the credentials remain the same.
