“Working with the Ministry of Sound on this deal fulfils our ambition to offer fans of the ‘We’ range of games the best of the best. Ministry of Sound has been around for the last twenty years and they know exactly how to make dance songs that get people up on their feet, which is exactly why this is such a great partnership for us.” said Nik Blower, sales and marketing director, Nordic Games. “It sets a precedent for what we’d like to do with future DLC content across the We Sing and We Dance series of games.”
Each track offers players specially choreographed dance routines that have been specifically designed for the upbeat and energetic tracks that Ministry of Sound are known for producing. All five tracks will support the games’ three styles of play – using the Wii Remote, using the dance mat accessory such as Nordic Games’ Star Mat or a combination of both – making it the most challenging and rewarding dancing game on the market.
The five songs are the first five available in the Dance Shop, We Dance’s online store, and cost 300 Wii Points™ each. The first We Dance DLC pack is available to download now.
Unlike other dancing games, We Dance utilises three different styles of play – using the Wii Remote™, using a dance mat accessory such as Nordic Games’ ”Star Mat” or distinctively a combination of both – each offering varying levels of difficulty.
We Dance will launch with 40 licensed tracks spanning four decades of music; from rock to pop, rap to disco and hip hop to drum ‘n’ bass, there is something for everyone. The majority of tracks include the original videos to further add to the experience.
In addition to the main game there are three Party Game modes – ‘Jump’, ‘Step’ and ‘Pose’ – featuring a variety of four player mini games to challenge friends and family alike.
Following the successful and familiar We Sing formula, there’s Jukebox mode, Dance TV, for people to enjoy all 40 tracks and videos.
As with We Sing games, We Dance was developed by Le Cortex alongside Wired Productions.
