Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken Alternative Space Rock Tracks Drive Eccentric In-Game Story Through Exclusive Music Videos and Retro Cut-Scenes

Ratloop Asia, an independent publisher and developer of high quality, innovative games for the hardcore audience, today announced it has signed Los Angeles based indie rock band New World Revolution to provide in-game music for cinematic platform adventure title Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken. Perfectly orchestrated to unlockable music videos and cut-scenes, the exclusive tracks from New World Revolution artistically unveil the untold story of main character Hardboiled Chicken, and expose the truth behind the evil penguin regime that Hardboiled sets out to destroy.

“Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken delivers a brand new fusion of gaming and music that I hope will expand and grow the cinematic platform genre,” said Sian Yue Tan, Producer / Studio Head, Ratloop Asia. “Herwig is my friend and I’m a fan of his music. The music and lyrics complement the game so well, it’s as if they were written for Rocketbirds. Together they add a unique vibe to the cinematics, the art and the gameplay."

New World Revolution, led by artist Herwig Maurer, has commonly been tagged as an “esoteric science-fiction rock” band that is unlike typical modern rock. The band is known for incorporating new electronic sounds with classic trend setting musical riffs that deliver political, utopian lyrical messages. Having been called a modern-day version of Pink Floyd, New World Revolution has carved out a distinguished space for itself among the sea of indie rock bands.

"When Ratloop approached me about Rocketbirds, I was amazed at how flawlessly the NWR sound integrated into the game,” said Herwig Maurer, New World Revolution. “Having taken it a step further with customized material, I am very excited and proud about the final product. Music, game and story blend perfectly into a larger whole, a match made in heaven; I am honored to be on board!"
