Iron Grip: Marauders - the first free-to-play strategy game released to Steam

video game developer ISOTX announced the introduction of their online strategy game Iron Grip: Marauders to Steam. The game is the first strategy game to feature in the recently added Free to Play section of the Steam store and will became available on Friday, 19.00 GMT+2.

Steam

The integration with Steam allows gamers to login directly to Iron Grip: Marauders using their Steam accounts. Alternatively, a shortcut can be downloaded through Steam, which allows the game to be run straight from the player’s desktop.

Free to Play

The entire game can be enjoyed without any kind of payment, but any desired in-game items can be purchased safely and easily using the Steam Wallet. Additionally, there will be special starter packages, called “Jasmine’s Goodies”, available to new players from the Steam Store.

“We are very excited to be part of the Free to Play selection on Steam,” said Vincent van Geel, Chief Development Officer at ISOTX. “The partnership with Steam is a new opportunity to share our game with a wider public. Additionally, I believe the new Free to Play section on Steam provides a great platform to promote online F2P games in general and we are happy to be a part of that.”

Iron Grip: Marauders

Iron Grip: Marauders is the first online tactical war game to combine advanced strategic planning with turn-based battles delivered in detailed 3D environments. Players carry out daring quests, raids and smuggling missions to fund the production of their armies and research projects. At the same time they level up to unlock new research and game content. Since the game’s official launch in January 2011, it has quickly managed to acquire a solid player base.
