Global Agenda Featured As Free-To-Play Launch Title on Steam - for one day only

Hi-Rez Studios announced that Global Agenda: Free Agent will be this Saturday’s featured title within Steam’s newly revealed Free-to-Play category of games.

The shooter MMO Global Agenda transitioned to free to play last month and has already experienced dramatic population gains with daily new account creation tripling since the announcement. Hi-Rez Studios expects further population growth as the game joins Steam’s Free-to-Play lineup this week.

As part of this offering Global Agenda allows Steam users to purchase optional Global Agenda virtual items without ever having to leave the game. Players can use their Steam wallet to purchase Agenda Points, and then spend those Agenda Points to buy gameplay or cosmetic items from in-game city shops.

“We are excited to partner with Valve and offer Global Agenda as a launch title within Steam’s Free-To-Play category.”, says Todd Harris, Hi-Rez Studios COO. “Steam has a thriving community of shooter fans. And we think those players will enjoy Global Agenda as a AAA-quality class-based shooter with great graphics, great gameplay, PvP and PvE, and now downloadable via Steam at no charge.”

In celebration of the game’s recent population growth, on the day of the Steam promotion Hi-Rez Studios is granting a much requested ask from Global Agenda players everywhere - the ability to fly within the social area of Dome City.

After the single-day promotion event, Global Agenda will continue to allow jetpacking in Dome City, but only for players with an active Booster on their account.
