The New Nintendo 3DS plus launch games line up

Nintendo’s new hand held console the 3DS will go on sale in the UK on March 25th. Sporting twin screens like the DS, 3 cameras a motions sensor and pedometer it hopes to cover all today’s gadget geeks needs. A touch sensitive 360 degree round control button, with mouse like functions, and the usual control buttons beside the lower screen.

Nintendo 3DS will be available in Aqua Blue or Cosmo Black and will come pre-loaded with several games and applications.

Like the Wii the 3DS will have a Mii maker where owner can create their own avatar to use, they will also have the option to import their existing Mii from their Wii. The pedometer will allow user to earn coins as they walk, coins can be traded for new content.

25 games will be available from launch with Ubisoft, Konami and Capcom just some of the big player supporters. Pro Evolution Soccer will have a 3D version specially made for the 3DS. The console will also play (in non 3D) games for the Nintendo DS plus a StreetPass connecting automatically to BTFon wireless networks across the UK. One of the function of StreetPass is the ability for user to transfer information between each other as the pass in the street or office.

Early Nintendo games will include Nintendogs and cats, Pilotwings 3D and Starfox 64 3D.

3DS titles coming soon include Shin Megami Tensei, Devil Survivor Overclocked, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Resident Evil:The Mercenaries 3D, Madden NFL Football, The Sims 3, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Ridge Racer 3D, Dual Pen Sports, Super Monkey Ball 3D, Thor: God of Thunder, Crush 3D, Bust-A-Move Universe, Samurai Warriors Chronicles, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Asphalt 3D, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars, Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 3D, Rayman 3D and Rabbids Travel in Time.

The console set for release in Europe on March 25 and two days later in the US. While the company committed to a price of $249 in the US, in Europe it has only set a trade price, leaving retailers to tag the console with a price of £219 to £229.
