F1 2010 tops video game charts all over Europe - France, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland

F1 2010, the award-winning and official game of the 2010 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP published by Codemasters on September 23rd, has secured pole position with a series of Number 1 chart successes across major European territories, including those where the title is represented by Koch Media. In Germany, F1 2010 ranked No 1 in the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and All Formats Console charts (Week 38). The game has enjoyed similar success in France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria, which saw the PlayStation 3 edition top local GfK charts.

In March 2010, Koch Media signed an exclusive distribution and marketing agreement with Codemasters for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, France, and Italy.

"Gamers and racing sports fans alike have eagerly anticipated the release of F1 2010. With this title, Codemasters has once again delivered an outstanding racing game. The successful cooperation with Codemasters and our retail partners has reinforced our position as the No. 1 retail distributor in Europe," says Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media.

Rod Cousens, CEO, Codemasters said: “The launch of F1 2010 is a hugely successful and significant landmark for both Codemasters’ development and publishing operations. Our partner-based distribution strategy with Koch Media has delivered major results in driving the title to great heights in key European markets, where launch campaigns were executed with local expertise.”

Koch Media, with branch offices all over Europe and in the USA, as well as an international network of business partners, is looking back on more than 15 years of experience in distributing digital media products. From publishing video games to home entertainment and software products, the company already has a long history of success.

The Koch Media group has its own Europe-wide distribution infrastructure and logistics which, in cooperation with the largest independent sales team in Europe, ensure the required efficiency in the distribution of media products.

In the course of the years, Koch Media has been able to create a unique distribution network all over Europe. This is supported by strong competence in the marketing of games titles from various genres and for different target groups. In addition to titles from their own games label Deep Silver, Koch Media's sales teams also distribute products from partners such as Capcom, Eidos, Kaspersky Labs, Paradox Entertainment, Square Enix, Tecmo-Koei, and System 3 in various European countries.

Codemasters’ F1 2010 is available since September 23, 2010, for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, and PC Games For Windows.
