From Oxfordshire-based developer Gusto Games, John Daly’s ProStroke Golf is the spiritual sequel to Pro-Stroke Golf: World Tour 2007, incorporating all the features that have made the series a hit with gamers. The trademark ProStroke control system, a first-person view of the ball and club head, offers the closest representation of a natural golf swing available with no artificial barriers to impede shot performance. The title is also the first golf game to have been built from the ground up incorporating PlayStation Move technology, giving PlayStation 3 owners the ability to rotate the club head in real-time, punch and chip the ball according to the input movement, simulate weight transfer and much more.
“John Daly’s ProStroke Golf represents the next chapter in an exciting adventure we started with Gusto Games back in the PlayStation 2 era,” commented Jim Scott, CEO of O-Games. “Given his eye-catching ability, personality and style, John Daly was a natural choice for us to front the title and we’re confident his fans, and those of golf overall will be suitably impressed.”
Sam Torrance and Peter Kessler provide lively commentary across 12 varied and challenging courses, populated with interactive spectators to bring a rich match-day atmosphere to life. Away from the tournaments and exhibitions gamers would expect from a golf title, the ‘Challenge Mode’ offers a series of golfing trials presented by John Daly himself, as he takes players through the different disciplines of the game, from putting and approach play to the world famous ‘Long John’ drive itself.
With the Ryder Cup in close proximity and fresh in the memory, players will be invited to ‘Grip it and Rip it’ with John Daly’s ProStroke Golf from 8th October 2010, published by O-Games for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
